CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme Online Registration
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially launched the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme, also called Roshan Gharana Program allowing consumers in Punjab to apply for free solar panels either through SMS or an online portal starting today. The Provincial Secretary of Energy shared details about the scheme, stating that 100,000 solar systems will be installed throughout the year. A total of 52,019 customers who use up to 100 units of electricity per month will receive a free 550-watt solar system.
For consumers who use up to 200 units of electricity per month, a will be provided at no cost. The selection process will be done through a computerized balloting system to ensure fairness and transparency in the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme.
Last Date of Registration
The last date to register for the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme is 5th January 2025. Those interested in receiving free solar panels must complete their registration before this date. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme, you need to meet certain conditions. Domestic consumers who use up to 200 units of electricity per month are eligible. The categories include:
Up to 50 Units (Life Line)
51-100 Units (Life Line)
0-100 Units (Protected)
101-200 Units (Protected)
0-100 Units (Unprotected)
101-200 Units (Unprotected)
The eligibility will be based on the electricity bill of June 2024. In addition, the consumer should have a sanctioned load of up to 2 KW.
